The Cemetery of the Redwoods District honors the memory of those who have chosen our cemeteries as their final resting place by creating dignified and respectful environments.
VISION STATEMENT
Cemetery District of the Redwoods includes Willits Cemetery, Little Lake Cemetery, and Laytonville Cemetery, and provides these places as peaceful environments in which persons may grieve, meditate and be renewed.
STATEMENT OF OBJECTIVES
Provide a natural setting in which people have their final resting place.
Develop our properties taking into consideration the economic, environmental and societal needs of our community.
Continue maintenance of our properties, identify resources needed to improve our properties and provide the highest quality of cemetery services.
Study social, economic, and cultural trends and revise policies as appropriate.
Offer training opportunities for staff and board members to be aware of the latest developments in cemetery operations.
Graciously accept ideas and help from local citizens and volunteer organizations.
Cemetery District of the Redwoods is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and
channels of communication to all members of the public. As part of this commitment, Cemetery District of the Redwoods
has a policy of providing an accessible website compatible with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) and
commercial screen reading software. All features of the website are coded to allow individuals with vision and
other impairments to understand and use the website to the same degree as someone without disabilities. We welcome
